[Satellite Today -8-05-08]  Americom Government Services (AGS) signed an agreement to acquire AOS Inc., AGS announced Aug. 5.
    AOS, founded in 1998, provides secure, customized, turnkey network mobility and communications system and also offers engineering, program management, information technology consulting and managed network services. 
“The benefits of the acquisition of Aos Inc. will be reflected in the added value we are creating for our U.S. government customers,” Tip Osterthaler, president and CEO of AGS, said in a statement. “ Operational security is an important aspect of how our customers operate. The integration of Aos technology with our satellite solutions will enable enhanced communications for the U.S. government worldwide.”
    AOS will be integrated as a division of AGS and will continue most operations from its Dallas headquarters. Some Aos staff members will be relocated to AGS offices in McLean, Va.
