[Satellite Today – 4-10-08] Harris Corp. has been awarded a 10-year, $40 million contract to supply depot support and engineering services for multiple space control systems for the U.S. Space and Missile System Center Space Superiority Systems Wing, Harris announced April 10.
    The Space Superiority Systems Wing is responsible for delivering and sustaining space control systems to ensure space superiority for the United States. These include offensive and defensive counterspace systems and space situation awareness capabilities needed to gain and maintain space superiority.
    "Harris has a long and successful history of supporting the vital space systems and missions of the U.S. Air Force at various locations around the world," said Sheldon Fox, president of Harris National Intelligence Programs in a statement. "We are proud to expand our support to the Space Superiority Systems Wing and look forward to a strong partnership with our customer as well as our teammates during the course of this program."
