[09-24-07 – Satellite News]  TeleCommunications Systems Inc. (TCS) has been awarded a $2.4 million contract by the U.S. Army to provide satellite communications terminals and maintenance for the U.S. 1st Calvary division, the company announced Sept. 21.

The initial order of TCS  SwiftLink VSATs will be delivered to the division before the end of September. The contract includes 24 months of logistical support.

The contract is part of an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract which could be worth $29 million if all options are exercised.
