[09-20-07 – Satellite Today] The U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center’s Space Development and Test Wing awarded      Lockheed Martin a $2.4 million task order to support missions of the Multi-Mission Satellite Operations Center, the company announced Sept. 18.

Under the one-year contract, Lockheed Martin will provide the enterprise management framework, mission management and infrastructure. Lockheed’s Horizon satellite enterprise management system is at the core of the work. The system is based on Microsoft.net architecture and allows rapid integration with commercial-off-the-shelf products.

The contract includes incrementally-funded task orders expected to follow in 2008 and 2009.
