[09-18-07 – Satellite Today]  Alliant Techsystems (ATK) has delivered the U.S. Department of Defense’s Tactical Satellite 3 Spacecraft Bus (TacSat-3) to the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory for final integration and test, the company announced Sept. 18.

The spacecraft is a joint effort of the Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Air Force Space Command, the Department of Defense’s Operationally Responsive Space Office, the Office of Naval Research and the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Space Vehicles Directorate.

The satellite is slated to be launched in March aboard an Orbital Science’s Minotaur rocket.
