ETL Systems is acquiring SpacePath Communications, in a deal that brings together two U.K.-based satellite amplifier suppliers. ETL Systems announced the acquisition on Monday, financial terms were not disclosed. 

ETL Systems said this acquisition solidifies its position as leading provider of radio frequency (RF) distribution solutions in the U.K. It plans to integrate SpacePath’s high power amplifier (HPA) product line into its portfolio. 

SpacePath provides power solutions to system integrators and satellite operators in over 35 countries and reports an installed base of over 6,000 amplifiers. In March of this year, the company launched a portfolio of millimeter wave amplifiers to meet growing demand for broadband applications.

Newton Burnet, co-founder and CTO of SpacePath commented that this combination helps the company access new high-value millimeter wave transmitter markets, while still providing existing product lines.
