Slingshot Aerospace is coming to the United Kingdom and establishing a U.K. base to help win business with international government and commercial customers. Melissa Quinn will be the general manager of its international business. Quinn had been general manager of Slingshot Seradata, but is now taking on a more expanded role. The company announced these moves on March 8.
The company will have new offices in Cornwall and London to engage with stakeholders in the U.K. space sector and across international markets including the European Union.
The company plans to bring high-tech jobs to the U.K. with a focus on initially recruiting software engineers and data analysts to build out the data, analytics, services supporting Slingshot’s international business unit. The company said its decision to establish a presence in the U.K. underscores its commitment to investing in the region and leveraging local talent to support its mission of making space safe, sustainable, and secure.
“The U.K. offers a thriving ecosystem for space technology innovation, and we are excited to collaborate with local organizations to share Slingshot’s capabilities,” Quinn said. “Establishing a base in the U.K. not only strengthens our global presence but also plays a pivotal role in advancing space sustainability and enhancing national security.
