Less than a week after she announced her departure from Mynaric, Tina Ghataore has a new role in the satellite industry. Ghataore has been appointed as the new group chief strategy and revenue officer of Aerospacelab, as well as the CEO of Aerospace’s new North American branch. Aerospacelab announced the appointment Aug. 7.
The company, founded in 2018, is an international startup based in Belgium, specialized in designing, manufacturing and operating small satellites. Aerospace offers a versatile satellite platform, giving customers access to space and geospatial intelligence, offering proprietary high-resolution satellite data. The company is vertically integrated, working to “pave the road to an optimized and cost-efficient way to space.”
“With Tina, it just seems like a natural fit. We share a vision and direction of this ever-growing satellite market. In order to power and support Aerospacelab’s growth and ongoing expansion, it was essential to find the right leader to possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience required for the position. Today, we are confident that with Tina’s expertise and experience, we will be able to make our ambitious plans a reality. She will be an invaluable asset as we continue to grow and position ourselves in the industry,” Benoit Deper, CEO and founder of Aerospacelab, said in a statement.
Ghataore was named Via Satellite’s Satellite Executive of the Year for 2021. She joined Mynaric in 2020 to lead its U.S. subsidiary and head business development across the company. Ghataore has also held roles with Boeing, Yahsat, Panasonic, and the Ekkam Group.
