Ovzon has hired Noora Jayasekara as its new CFO. Ovzon announced the appointment Oct. 11 and Jayasekara will start the role at the start of November.

Jayasekara most recently held the role of CFO at Humana AB. Prior to that, she led and managed a consulting group in accounting at the consulting firm EY.

Noora has a very solid background and is truly a business-driven CFO, which is critical with Ovzon’s high ambitions in the fast-evolving satellite and communications industry. Her experience from a broad variety of businesses and publicly listed companies is equally important as we are embarked on a profitable growth journey,” Per Norén, CEO of Ovzon said in a statement.

Ovzon is preparing for the launch of its Ovzon 3 satellite to improve its satcom as a service offering, an end-to-end managed service that combines satellite capacity with its mobile terminals.
