Artel has released its DLT710 multi-format 3G-SDI capable signal generator and test module, the company announced Nov. 3.
    The DL4000-based DLT710 module is designed for both automatic link verification of all serial digital video formats and as a signal generator and functional test monitor for 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, SD-SDI, DVB-ASI and ATSC formats.
    “Customers told us testing video circuits is a time-consuming process requiring numerous pieces of expensive test equipment designed for other applications. With that in mind, Artel engineers went to the drawing board and came up with a space-efficient, low-cost product that dramatically simplifies and automates the process. In less than five minutes, users can verify a circuit supporting these formats as operational,” Artel Video Systems President Richard Dellacanonica said in a statement.
