June 7, 2022 @ 11:00 am - June 8, 2022 @ 12:00 pm EDT
For more than 35 years, the SATELLITE Conference & Exhibition and Via Satellite have brought together the satellite and space communities online and in-person to collaborate, network, and strategize. In 2022, we’re continuing to provide opportunities for our global audience to participate in important conversations through a series of digital events taking place throughout the year.
Finding the Right Rocket Fit for Your Unique Payload | June 7 | 11:00 am – 12:00 pm EST – In response to both modern satellites’ increasingly diverse components, sizes, and target orbits and the widening range of requirements from satellite operators, commercial launch companies are working to make their rockets more flexible and capable over a broader range of services. This group discussion brings these launch service providers together to talk about how and why they are doing this. The conversation will include both new rockets in development and add-ons or enhancements to existing rockets to serve more customers. You’ll be surprised by how much today’s workhorse launch vehicles can do!
Expanding the Global Spaceport System: New and Emerging Launch Centers | June 8 | 11:00 am – 12:00 pm EST – In order to have meaningful access to space to meet the demand for launch services, the world needs more spaceports and launch centers. More and more space-faring nations are now investing in building new launch centers to attract more space industry business and to boost the growth of their own space economy. During this discussion, launchers will talk about their stake in a global launch system, potential government partnerships, the benefits of untapped launch sites, and the impact that an expanded spaceport network would have on cost, availability, and time to target orbit.
