The Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Space ISAC) is bringing a new benefit to the space community in the battle against cyber threats. Space ISAC members now have access to Accelerating Space Capabilities 100 (ASC-100), an international federated network of testbeds and proving grounds, Space ISAC announced Jan. 30.
ASC-100 will grant Space ISAC members streamlined access to credentialed testing facilities across the United States and international partner nations, providing both physical and digital testbeds and proving grounds environments that simulate space operating conditions. These facilities are essential for agile developments, validations, and operational deployment of cutting-edge space capabilities.
In partnership with The Aerospace Corporation, a founding member of Space ISAC, ASC-100 will foster collaboration among U.S. and allied stakeholders. The Aerospace Corporation will lead the physics and engineering efforts for testing conducted through this initiative.
“A global approach is essential to addressing the universal challenge of meeting today’s national security demands. Our initiative is part of a broader effort to accelerate the growing number of space capabilities from concept to prototype to flight-proven systems, ensuring they can be deployed effectively to serve the national interests of the United States and our global partners,” Erin Miller, executive director of Space ISAC, said in a statement.
