Telesat and ADN Telecom Limited signed a multi-year partnership on Tuesday, to deliver Telesat Lightspeed Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) connectivity solutions in Bangladesh and South Asia.

ADN Telecom is a telecommunications company based in Bangladesh that services industries and enterprises including government agencies, defense entities, and the financial sectors.

The companies said the agreement will provide services for telecom, enterprise, and government customers in the region. Telesat’s fully-funded Lightspeed constellation is in progress, with satellite launches scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026.

Telesat will provide Lightspeed services and a smart virtual network operator (VNO) capability for ADN Telecom to manage and deliver connectivity solutions.

ADN Telecom will participate in early field trial testing of Telesat Lightspeed services. Full-time services are expected to start in late 2027 and will include committed information rates and service level agreements (SLAs). ADN Telecom will also work with Telesat to help the operator secure regulatory approval for Lightspeed service in Bangladesh.

“Integrating the Telesat Lightspeed enterprise-class LEO network capabilities into our leading service offerings is another example of our commitment to delivering innovative technologies to help our customers thrive,” said Asif Mahmood, chairman of ADN Telecom Limited. “After a review of next-generation satellite technologies, we believe the Telesat Lightspeed services will provide the most flexible, secure and resilient architecture to power our future offerings.”
