Astro’s Plug-and-Play Dish-less DTH box.

One of the Asia’s biggest satellite pay-TV operators has unveiled new hardware that works without a satellite dish. Astro, the leading DTH player in Malaysia announced July 22, that it had released a new ‘Ultra Plug & Play’ box, which works without a satellite dish, and should reduce rain fade issues.

This new hardware enables customers to self-install and enjoy features such as cloud recording, play from start by simply connecting the box to the TV and Internet to start enjoying popular shows immediately. Customers can enjoy 4K UHD viewing, stream up to 65,000 videos on demand. Installation is easy with the simple steps in the installation guide video which comes with the together with the box. It could be a sign of things to come.
