Azercosmos has signed an agreement with satellite services company UltiSat to use the Azerspace-1 satellite to provide data services in the Middle East and Europe. Azerspace-1 was launched in 2013 as part of a partnership between the Azerbaijan satellite operator and Measat.
UltiSat Executive Vice President of Business Development Chris Hetmanski said in a Thursday release that the companies will work together in the coming months to deploy managed network services. UltiSat, a subsidiary of Speedcast International, provides mission-critical communications for military, government, non-governmental, and intergovernmental organizations.
“We are glad to have UltiSat in our portfolio as a strong and reliable partner. We truly believe that this cooperation will ensure that every community is provided with data services that are of high demand in these challenging times,” said Mark Guthrie, Azercosmos CCO.
