Omantel Wholesale has selected NorthTelecom to grow its satellite footprint with additional transponders to enhance its Ku-band satellite capacity. The agreement increases Omantel Wholesale’s satellite capabilities and gives its customers increased redundancy and resiliency across its global network. It also enables Omantel Wholesale to add Ka-band network capacity if required in the future. Its agreement with NorthTelecom builds on decades of development of both its terrestrial and satellite networks, according to the company.
