[Via Satellite 07-26-2016] Hellenic Seaways, a domestic ferry service company in Greece, has decided to equip its entire fleet for Ka-band connectivity from Telenor Satellite’s first High Throughput Satellite (HTS), Thor 7. Previously a beta-test customer, Hellenic Seaways has been using the service effectively on the vessel Nissos Mykonos. The company is now implementing equipment for the service across the rest of its fleet.

Hellenic Seaways’ ships carry up to 2,000 passengers across domestic routes throughout the Greek islands. Marel Electronics, a partner for Telenor Thor 7, signed the contract with Hellenic Seaways for connectivity services, having tested and monitored the service for the past six months.
