[Via Satellite 04-20-2016] Tribune Broadcasting, a TV station operator reaching more than 50 million households in the United States, has selected DTV Innovations’ high-definition video encoder with internal modulator to refresh its Electronic News-Gathering (ENG) and Digital Satellite News-Gathering (DSNG) fleet. The upgrade will also bring the company into full compliance with the Federal Communications Commissions’ (FCC’s) Digital Video Broadcast Carrier ID (DVB-CID) mandate.

DTV Innovations will supply its Gryphon PVE-3 (formerly Titan-3), a compact, lightweight, video encoder that supports standard and high-definition MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 encoding up to 4:2:2 10-bit.
