[Via Satellite 03-01-2016] Video delivery infrastructure company Harmonic has completed the acquisition of Thomson Video Networks (TVN), a specialist in advanced video compression solutions.

Harmonic announced intentions to acquire Thomson Video Networks in December 2015. Within the combined company, Thomson Video Networks’ France location is to become a strategic Research and Development (R&D) center where it will continue to be a fundamental participant in the technology ecosystem. Together the company’s combined dedicated R&D resources now total more than 600 engineers.
