[Via Satellite 10-27-2015] Lepton Global Solutions has launched a managed satellite network service in the North Pacific for Lepton and Eutelsat’s enterprise and government customers. The service will provide a secure satellite network on Eutelsat 172A, located at 172 degrees east, and a Lepton-owned, collocated iDirect hub at the Hawaii Pacific Teleport in Oahu, Hawaii.

Lepton will manage the end-to-end service from its own Secure Operations Center (SOC) at the company’s headquarters in in Vienna, Va. The offering provides a fully managed customized, turnkey service from a single provider.

“The extension of our network to the North Pacific represents a growth in customer demand for Ku-band services in this region,” said Rob Weitendorf, managing partner at Lepton. “This expansion and concurrent first step in our partnership with Eutelsat America Corp. also speaks to developments to come in our managed network offering.”
