[Satellite TODAY 08-16-13] Advantech Wireless, a global designer and manufacturer of satellite radio frequency equipment and microwave systems, announced that it has extended its line of S-band indoor (rack-mount) and outdoor (hub-mount) Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA). The extended product line is available for a full range of output power up to 1250W in a single package. Advantech Wireless also provides phase-combined systems offering an output power up to 12 kW.

Advantech Wireless’ S-band SSPAs are built in a compact size and may be configured to operate in 1:1 or 1:2 redundancy modes, with built-in microprocessor controller in each unit for redundancy operation and capability for serial port interfaces or Ethernet for remote monitoring and control.

“The extraordinary increasing demand in services and applications provided in S-band frequency range, combined with constant cost reduction of new satellite launch and operation, are being fully supported by our technology,” stated Cristi Damian, VP business development at Advantech Wireless.
