[Satellite TODAY 08-01-13] The Global VSAT Forum (GVF) will be demonstrating its global SNG training program at IBC beginning Sept. 13. The program, which was developed for GVF by SatProf, delivers a blend of simulator-driven, interactive, self-paced online knowledge training, verification of hands-on skills, and optional supplementary classes. GVF and its partners worldwide deliver the training for VSAT, broadband, and maritime satellite terminal technicians, engineers users, and operators.

GVF recently collaboratedwith the Radio Frequency Interference – End Users Initiative (RF-EUI) to develop a test for advanced technical operator (ATO). Now, the two organizations are collaborating again on a number of forums discussing satellite interference prevention. The program includes a workshop on earth station testing and another on training, aimed at educating users on these initiatives and how they can help drastically reduce satellite interference.
