ID Inquiries has been appointed by the Premier League, the English professional football league, to carry out investigations into the unauthorized and illegal use of foreign satellite systems and web streams in the United Kingdom. ID Inquiries replaces Media Protection Services, which had been the league’s partner for several years.

 

Sky Sports and BT Sport are the only authorized broadcasters of live Premier League matches in the U.K. The new investigation program follows recent successes in the High Court, including rulings against the use of foreign satellite systems, and unauthorized streaming websites, being used in commercial premises to broadcast Premier League football.
