[Satellite TODAY 07-19-13] Space Systems/Loral (SSL) announced that it has signed a contract with an undisclosed customer to provide a multi-mission satellite to be used for telecommunications, television broadcast, and other services such as distance learning.
 
     SSL, a subsidiary of MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates (MDA), has a long history of delivering satellites and spacecraft systems for commercial and government customers around the world. As a provider of commercial satellites, the company works closely with satellite operators to provide spacecraft for a broad range of services including television and radio distribution, digital audio radio, broadband Internet, and mobile communications.
