[Satellite TODAY 06-18-13] Encompass Digital Media Asia has selected AsiaSat’s DVB-S2 MCPC platform, operated from its Tai Po Earth Station in Hong Kong, to distribute Edge Sport HD. Edge Sport was the first 24-hour premium action sports HD channel tailored for the Asian market by IMG media in 2012.

 

    This is the first time the two companies work together. “We believe that partnering with AsiaSat offers customers the choice they need in this fast growing market,” said Deepakjit Singh, managing director, Encompass Digital Media (Asia). “Leveraging AsiaSat’s reach offers our customers like Edge Sport HD an effective content delivery platform that allows the channel to expand and monetize its content more rapidly in Asia.”
