[Satellite TODAY 03-07-13] Orange Romania CEO Jean Francois Fallacher confirmed media reports that the company is considering entering the local Romanian satellite TV market, according to a report published March 7 by domestic news outlet Ziarul Financiar. 

   Fallacher said the operator experienced an increase in its customers’ consumption of video entertainment on smartphones and tablets and that the company wants to meet this demand. 

   “We may decide to launch our own satellite TV platform and we are already negotiating with companies in Romania about the contractual conditions for installing equipment at customer premises,” Fallacher said in the report, adding that the company has not yet made a decision on whether or not to offer its own satellite TV services as part of the platform.
