The second-generation Hopper allows customers to watch live and recorded home television content on Internet-connected tablets, smartphones and desktop computers via the DISH Anywhere app. Additionally, the Hopper Transfers app allows users to download DVR content to their mobile devices and watch without an Internet connection.

   The new Hopper also includes previous-generation features such as AutoHop, PrimeTime Anytime and up to 500 hours of high-definition recording capability – or 2,000 hours on standard definition.

   Dish Network first introduced the new Hopper with Sling at the 2013 International Consumers Electronics Show, where it earned the “Best of Show” award.
