Starting February 1, the new packages will give approximately 3.3 million properties throughout the U.K., which used to have no access to broadband or services of more than 2 Mbps, access to high speed broadband internet of up to 20 Mbps for download speeds and up to 6 Mbps for upload.

   The service operates with a small satellite dish and modem and is delivered by KA-SAT one of Europe’s most powerful satellites. Its cost will range from approximately £20 a month to approximately 50 euros a month depending on the package. According to Eutelsat, the Tooway packages will be the first satellite broadband service in Europe.
