[Satellite TODAY 01-24-13] Polaris Wireless announced a significant, record increase in revenue and profitability in 2012. The company’s revenue grew 79 percent year-over-year, and profitability (as measured by EBITDA) increased six-fold.
The results are linked to new sales bookings since 2011 and growth of the company’s offered services. Polaris Wireless has six managed services partners, fifteen international deployments and 24 U.S. wireless carriers helping the business grow. The company offers location solutions to enable emergency call applications, lawful and mass location surveillance, and other location-based services.
In 2012, Polaris Wireless introduced Altus Mobile, a mobile location surveillance application that provides real-time location of targets/suspects and blue forces to field agents on their mobile devices. Also, the company won several contracts for multi-million dollar deployments of the Polaris Wireless Altus and OmniLocate location surveillance product, and it expanded its business in the Asia-Pacific region by complying with India’s Department Of Telecom (DoT) mandate for wireless location accuracy on both 2G and 3G networks.
