The rocket will now lift off at 12:44 Pacific Standard Time (20:44 GMT) on Monday, previously scheduled for launch on Dec. 2. The company will broadcast the launch approximately 15 minutes before liftoff.

The Eutelsat-70B satellite was built by Astrium and will replace the Eutelsat-70A satellite in geostationary orbit. It aims to provide a variety of professional services, including government applications, broadband access and video exchanges in Europe, Africa and Central and South-East Asia.

Sea Launch utilizes its floating platform Odyssey at its international Pacific Ocean equatorial launch site to carry out its rocket launches.
