[Satellite TODAY 11-19-12] Arabsat has partnered with Africa, Middle East and Central Asia satcom services provider Level421, the company announced Nov. 19.

As part of the partnership, Level 421 has installed a new 6.5 m antenna pointing towards Arabsat-5C satellite at 20 degrees East, capable to also handle extended C-Band, and is currently live and operative. The new platform allows Level421 and their existing and future customers to provide highly efficient services and coverage via Arabsat5c throughout Africa and Middle East.
Level 421 is headquartered in Germany and provides data services, based on the new Comtech 840 Advanced-V-SAT technology, operating up to 32 APSK with ACM capabilities on up- and downstream.
“Arabsat-5C is one of the latest state-of-art satellites within the Arabsat fleet. The satellite offers a ubiquitous coverage over Middle East, Africa and Central Asia in C-band; which are also the prime service regions of Level421,” Arabsat President and CEO Khalid Balkheyour said in statement. “Customers of Level421 and Arabsat will from now on be able to benefit from a high power, very reliable and cost-effective solution to serve their specific communication and distribution requirements, including and any kind of VSAT application. This partnership will certainly meet and match the high demand for reliable telecommunication services in Africa and Middle East.”
