[Satellite TODAY 11-15-12] Antenna Technology Communications Inc. (ATCi) will provide multiple cable TV and satellite channels with uplink disaster recovery services deigned to deliver uninterrupted programming, the company announced at the New York Satcon Conference Nov. 12.

ATCi has expanded its satellite services division with a platform designed to address economical digital broadcast solutions and disaster recovery services. The company’s Southwest operations center is located in a natural disaster-free zone, aiming to be ideal for a back-up critical communication facility, designed for flexibility as well.
In-demand applications offered by ATCi’s satellite and teleport infrastructure include unlimited fiber capabilities, Internet connectivity, private networks, continuous monitoring, backhaul, Internet/data/fiber satellite integration and VoIP services in disastrous situations.
According to ATCi CEO Gary Hatch, demand for disaster recovery service options and facilities is extremely high due to recent east coast events.
"Clearly unexpected disasters and localized telecom disruptions can occur any time causing major communication outages while the time it takes to restore the damages may be days or weeks leaves those needing to operate in the impacted area unable to access and deliver reliable communications," Hatch said in a statement.  "ATCi is pleased to have recently partnered with several Cable TV and Satellite Channels by providing them with our state-of-the art Southwest facility and services as a safe and reliable back-up for their important programming"
