The new broadcasting system also support applications including: universities for distance learning applications; new satellite channels; existing channels to broadcast specific program feeds; large corporations to provide live feeds from headquarters to remote sites; and news agencies for transmitting live news feeds.

   ATCi’s pre-packaged flyaway systems are available in up to four-channel packages in both C-band and Ku-band depending on customer needs. Standard packages include the antenna and all related indoor and outdoor electronics that will handle encoding, modulation, transmission as well as monitoring of the satellite signal.

   “Because of the success of our custom systems for satellite broadcasting applications in other parts of the world, ATCi designed a system that would allow even small European broadcasters who typically could not afford to own their own system to provide content at an affordable price,” ATCi CEO Gary Hatch said in a statement. “ATCi’s low-cost high quality system responds to market demands by allowing all media outlets large or small the ability to own rather than rent and broadcast their own content.”
