[Satellite TODAY 12-29-11] Deutsche Telekom may bid for rights to broadcast the German Bundesliga soccer league via satellite, according to a Dec. 27 report in the Financial Times Deutschland.
   The story cited Deutsche Telekom Head of German Business Niek Jan van Damme, who said that the phone operator sold about 115,000 packages of its Entertain-Sat product since the service started in September.

   Deutsche Telekom projects to generate 600 million euros ($784 million) to 700 million euros ($906.3 million) in revenue from Internet-based television services in 2011, according to the report.
