[Satellite TODAY 08-30-11] Dish Network has introduced its new lightweight, portable satellite TV antenna, Tailgater, which aims to allow Dish customers to watch HD TV while tailgating, camping or engaging in other outdoor activities, Dish Network announced Aug. 29.
The Tailgater antenna weights 10 pounds and is designed to automatically locate satellite positions, eliminating the need for manual antenna adjustment. The Tailgater connects to a small Dish Network set-top box and TV. The unit’s price has been set at $350. Tailgater can be integrated with Dish Network’s ViP 211k single-tuner HD receiver.
“Tailgaters across the country have wanted an easy way to watch their games in HD, and now they can through Dish Network’s Tailgater. The Tailgater’s simple set-up combined with full access to DISH Network’s programming packages at convenient month-to-month pricing makes it the best ‘TV-on-the-go’ option for outdoor enthusiasts,” Dish Network Spokesman Ira Bahr said in a statement.
