[Satellite TODAY 08-17-11] Bulk TV signed an agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) to act as its approved provider of free-to-guest satellite television services, Bulk TV announced Aug. 16.

   Bulk TV will provide television programming from DirecTV, custom-built digital satellite TV systems, high-speed Internet access and managed data network services to IHG customers. The service provider said its programming portfolio also would include HD solutions.

   “With today’s competitive market, it is crucial for hotels to provide their guests with first-class amenities, and HD television service is one that guests have come to expect. Bulk TV’s selection of HD free-to-guest solutions gives IHG hotels the flexibility to choose one that best fits their needs while ensuring guest satisfaction,” Bulk TV President Dave O’Connell said in a statement.

   Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
