KulaByte’s business, founded in 2004, served market segments including over-the-top (OTT) broadcast, HD Internet TV, live church streaming, education, corporate event broadcasting, live sporting event streaming and military and defense applications. MontiVision is an advanced development company focused on delivering technologies for video acquisition, machine vision, surveillance and medical imaging applications.

    Haivision said the technologies acquired in the acquisition, including advanced encoding, transcoding, cloud computing and workflow solutions, will be combined to form its new Internet Media Division.

With KulaByte and MontiVision, Haivision can now deliver end-to-end rich media solutions for both inside and outside the enterprise firewall. The new division is also focused on addressing the challenges of effective social media networks for the enterprise,” Haivision President and CEO Mirko Wicha said in a statement.
