[Satellite TODAY 05-12-11] The Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA) appointed Jill Grinda as its new vice president, the organization announced May 11.

            Grinda will base her operations out of Hong Kong and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the association, including oversight of finance, human resources and events and communications team supervision. Grinda also will promote new revenue opportunities and relationships with CASBAA partners and report to CASBAA CEO Simon Twiston Davies.

Grinda previously served as worldwide distribution director for Euronews, and held distribution and marketing positions with Al Jazeera English, CNBC, Bloomberg Television, American Express and the Australian Broadcasting Corp.
