Newtec unveiled new features for its DualFlow technology as part of its Azimuth satellite broadcast offering, which aims to allow broadcasters to migrate to satellite-based IP operations through interfacing with both ASI and IP networks, the company announced.
Newtec hopes the technology will demonstrate to broadcasters, integrators, SNG operators and network operators that, “there no longer needs to be a choice between traditional ASI and IP-based workflows,” the company said in a statement.
DualFlow supports user migration from traditional broadcast contribution to complete IP interactivity over satellite, enabling the transmission of both IP and TV content in DVB-S2, as well as making two-way communication possible.
Newtec will be exhibiting a range of its products at the NAB 2011 show in Las Vegas, including its recently updated high-end OEM modulator and demodulator boards, as well as frequency converters/combiners, redundancy switches and data converters.
