Artel Video Systems has integrated the company’s flagship DL4000 video transport platform with Skyline Communications’ DataMiner network management system (NMS), Artel announced April 6.
    The DL4000 digital video transport system is a next-generation, modular platform that offers solutions for video backhaul and contribution applications. Artel said the integration of the two products aims to offer enhanced convenience, efficiency, and flexibility to network operators deploying operational systems comprised of disparate equipment.
    The solution is future-proof because it’s easily integrated with other third-party products that may be added to the workflow later. While a mix of proprietary, vendor-specific solutions can create operational limitations and increase the overall cost of ownership because of interoperability issues, a vendor-agnostic NMS like DataMiner eliminates this concern,” Artel said in a company statement.
