[Satellite TODAY 04-06-11] Measat Satellite Systems signed a contract with Asian regional 3-D entertainment channel HighTV 3-D to distribute content via the Measat-3a satellite, the operator announced April 4.
    The channel premiered on Measat-3a’s C-band regional feed. HighTV will use the 91.5 degrees East signal to deliver more than 450 hours of lifestyle, travel, animation and original content in full 3-D HD to subscribers in Asia.
    "Measat is aiming to bring a new form of entertainment to the region. Our HD video neighborhood at 91.6 degrees East now features 17 HD channels via the Measat-3 and -3a satellites and we are constantly expanding our bouquet of channels to meet the growing demands in the region," Measat said in a company statement.
    Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
