[Satellite TODAY 03-29-11] U.K. digital entertainment solutions provider Amino Technologies secured a follow-on order to provide its hybrid, over-the-top (OTT) technology to support Telecom Italia‘s Cubovision broadband service deployment, Amino announced March 28.
    Cubovision, launched in December, aims to offer customers access to a range of digital terrestrial TV channels, web TV sources and pay-per-view films. Amino said it has worked closely with Telecom Italia on the development of the Cubovision device, providing the technology and associated solutions used on its Amino Freedom hybrid/OTT platform.
    “Cubovision is a ground-breaking product which brings together a wide range of entertainment services into a single powerful device. We very much welcome the opportunity to further develop our strong working relationship with Telecom Italia on this exciting and innovative device,” Amino CEO Andrew Burke said in a statement.
