[Satellite TODAY 12-23-10] Geospatial solutions provider RapidEye named consulting and software engineering services company Viasat GeoTechnologies to RapidEye’s team of distributors in Canada, RapidEye announced Dec. 22.
    RapidEye is completing its international network of distributors and said its partnership with Viasat GeoTechnologies would enhance and expand its presence in the Canadian market.
    “We have worked with many Earth observation satellite technologies over the years, and we are really excited about the new opportunities RapidEye has opened for us. The possibility to cover huge areas over short periods of time with 5-meter resolution is a great advantage in big, high-latitude countries such as ours,” Executive Vice President of Viasat GeoTechnologies Pierre Vincent said in a statement.
