[Satellite TODAY 12-17-10] Dish Network has rolled out its 3-D Cinema On-Demand offering, giving customers access to a variety of 3-D movies, the U.S. pay-TV provider announced Dec. 16.
    The Cinema On-Demand content will be delivered in up to 1080p resolution. To push the new service, Dish Network is hosting a sweepstakes through the end of the year  which qualifies customers for a chance to win 3-D enabled TVs every time they rent 3-D content.
    “Dish Network is giving customers the ability to experience the power of 3-D from home with a variety of popular movies available on Dish Cinema. Our customers expect engaging video experiences, and we look forward to bringing them additional 3-D titles as we expand our Dish Cinema platform,” Dish Network Senior Vice President of Programming Dave Shull said in a statement.
