[Satellite TODAY 12-16-10] RRsat opened its second point of presence in New York City on 8th Ave. and unveiled plans to open a third on Hudson St., the company announced Dec. 15.
     The new point of presence aims to expand RRsat’s fiber capabilities and strengthen the company’s ability to connect content providers and broadcasters with RRsat’s global network.
     “This is an important step forward in expanding our North American and global operations. This second New York area [point of presence], to be followed shortly with the Hudson St. [point of presence], provides us additional access to the U.S. market and enhances our ability to meet the U.S. broadcasting industry’s demands for high quality, reliable and expert services, be it via satellite, fiber or a combination of the two,” RRSat Vice President of Sales and Marketing Lior Rival said in a statement.
