[Satellite TODAY 12-10-10] International Datacasting Corp. (IDC) won a $1.15 million contract with an unnamed pan-European content distribution company to provide IDC’s Superflex Pro Video receiver to support the expansion of the customer’s network, the company announced Dec. 9.
    IDC will provide the latest version of its Superflex Pro Video, which includes 3-D encoding technology from Sensio, allowing for the simultaneous streaming of both live and recorded content. The receiver features two ultra-high speed dual-tuners for built-in redundancy as well as multiple layers of encryption for security and on-the-fly forward error correction using IDC’s Datacast XD software and DVB-S2 8PSK or 16APSK delivery.
    The contract also includes delivery of 3-D live content as well as digital cinema content distribution.
