[Satellite TODAY 12-09-10] SkyVision Global Networks LLC upgraded its backbone, edge and peering infrastructure using Juniper Networks equipment, Juniper announced Dec. 7.
    SkyVision operates a satellite and terrestrial fiber-optic network providing connectivity in more than 50 countries and will install M10i Multiservice Edge Routers and EX4200 Ethernet Switches from Juniper.
    “Via our gateways in Europe, North America and the Middle East, we provide IP connectivity with access to the global Internet as well as a worldwide extensive suite of customized end-to-end solutions and services such as Layer 2 VPLS and layer 3 VPN with complementary security services,” Adi Katz, vice president, engineering, SkyVision, said in a statement. “We selected Juniper Networks because we required a proven, feature-rich and scalable platform to stand as the backbone of our network, together with carrier-class availability and automated network operations. The Juniper solution also gives us the flexibility and agility to respond to rapid growth and change while protecting our investment.”
