[Satellite TODAY 11-19-10] Sensio Technologies Inc. signed an agreement with Canadaian cable company Videotron to provide 3-D technology for the launch of Videotron’s 3-D content offering in December, Sensio announced Nov. 17.
    Videotron’s programming will be offered in the Sensio 3-D format, which enables broadcasting of 3-D content over 2-D infrastructure via cable, satellite or IPTV while providing superior quality to common frame-compatible formats.
    "We are very proud that our first agreement with a cable broadcaster is with a Canadian company," Nicholas Routhier, president and CEO of Sensio, said in a statement. "Videotron wants to offer 3-D programming of a better visual quality, and our aim is to enable our partners to supply an improved customer experience. It’s a real meeting of visions."
