[Satellite Today 11-15-10] MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA) signed an option under an existing agreement to provide an advanced technology solution to Orbital Sciences Corp. for its Star-2 satellites, MDA announced Nov. 11.

The contract was signed in September 2009, and this option brings the total contract value to $4.7 million. 

Delivery will take place in 2011 and includes other options for an additional $5.7 million in work that could extend through 2012.
