[Satellite TODAY 11-08-10] Clear Channel will renew its capacity deals with SES World Skies for 144 MHz of capacity on four satellites to deliver connectivity and content to subscribers and audiences in the United States.
    Under the agreements, Clear Channel has secured 46 MHz on SES-1, 36 MHz on AMC-8, 36 MHz on AMC-9 and 26 MHz on AMC-1 to offer a wide range of services, including radio broadcast and backhaul, Internet access, SNG and turnkey disaster recovery communications. Thousands of commercial radio stations across the United States use Clear Channel for satellite-delivered content, distribution or emergency backup services.
    “Clear Channel is developing and delivering some of the best broadcast, broadband and disaster recovery solutions in the business on our satellites. This series of capacity agreements represents the renewal of our long-term relationship and shared commitment to driving innovations that continue to evolve and enhance the delivery of connectivity and content across the country,” Steve Bunke, vice president of North America Media Sales for SES World Skies, said in a statement.
